2026 THBS Program Application

Program Dates: June 21-27, 2026 Chowan University, Murfreesboro NC

Application Instructions: Please read fully BEFORE applying.

Estimated time to complete: 20 minutes.

If you do not receive the application within a few hours of requestiong it or suspect your email address was entered incorrectly, DO NOT REQUEST A SECOND APPLICATION doing so may void your application. Please reach out to us to make necessary corrections. seth.young@tarheelboysstate.org

  1. Enter and submit your personal info and your parents info in the Google Form. Use a PERSONAL email address, NOT a school email address. (If you do not have a personal email address, enter your parent’s email.)

  2. You will revieve an email with your application link within a few mintues of submitting the form.

  3. Fill, sign, and submit all of the student (your) portions of the application. (Note: Your parent will not be able to complete their portion of the application until AFTER the student portion is completed and submitted.)

  4. Your parent will then receive an email with a link to fill and sign their portions of the application.

  5. Once completed, we will begin reviewing your application and pairing it up with the appropriate Legion Post. This is a lengthy process.

  6. If you do not complete the application in one session, you my revisit the application via the origional application link sent to your email.

  7. If you have any questions about the application process, please reach out to Seth at seth.young@tarheelboysstate.org.

  8. If you need to make corrections to an allpication you have already submitted, DO NOT SUBMIT A SECOND APPLICATION. Email Seth with your corrections or questions. seth.young@tarheelboysstate.org

Note: The application window is open from November 1, 2026, to May 31, 2026. The application process can take from a few weeks to several months as we pair you with the right American Legion Post. We will start sending Application acceptance emails NO SOONER than Feburary 2026
