Dustin Pittman
Program Director
A native of Wilson now living in Goldsboro, Dustin obtained his bachelor's degree in Communication and Political Science from East Carolina University then his Juris Doctor from Campbell University's Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. He is the Managing Partner of Strickland Agner Pittman, a law firm with offices in Goldsboro and Kinston where he practices Criminal and Juvenile Defense, Personal Injury and Civil Litigation.
Dustin is the current Chairman of the Wayne County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council, the Board Chairman for the Coalition for Addiction and Life Management (CALM), a non-profit working in Wayne County and surrounding communities with substance misuse, is the former Chairman of the Juvenile Defense Section of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice and is a member of the Church Council at St. Luke's United Methodist Church where he attends with his wife and two kids.
Dustin has worked with THBS for 20 years. During his delegate year, he served as the Bill Clerk in the House of Representatives.

Terry Pressley
Chief City Counselor; SAL National Executive Committee
Reigning from Waynesville, NC, Terry is a residential building contractor for over 50 years, serving Western NC. He is an active member of the Sons of American Legion, serving on the National Executive Council (NEC) as the state’s liaison between the NC Detachment and the national organization. He is proudly married to his wife, Debbie, for 49 years with five children and many loving grandchildren.
Terry maintains a small farm with two mules, Tom and Bob, a few pigs, and a couple cows. He has supported THBS for 22 years.

Matthew Burke
Assistant Director; Past SAL Detachment Adjutant
From Rocky Point, NC, Matt graduated from Campbell University with a bachelor’s degree in History. He briefly taught history at a public school before stepping into the world of politics. Matt's campaign work has taken him to nine states where he has worked to elect Democrats at every level: from County Commissioner to President of the United States.
Matt is a Past Adjutant of the Sons of the American Legion Detachment of North Carolina, a past Squadron Commander, and a recipient of the President's Volunteer Service Award. He has helped with THBS for 11 years.

Bradley Sawyer
Legislative Branch & Athletics
A native of Winston Salem, NC, Bradley is a 2016 graduate of Appalachian State University with a bachelor's degree in History Secondary Education. He is currently a Civics and Economics and 20th Century Civil Liberties Teacher at Reagan High School in Pfafftown, North Carolina. He also serves as the Head Softball Coach and Tight End Coach for Football at Reagan.

Seth Young
Administrative, Elections, & Media
A Pinnacle native, Seth graduated from Guilford Technical Community College with an A.S. in Professional Aviation. In 2017, he graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a B.S. in Aviation Science. Seth currently works with Direct Jet Charter in Greensboro as a full-time Corporate/Charter pilot and part-time flight scheduler and dispatcher.
Seth has helped with THBS for 11 years. During his delegate year in 2011, he was in Craig City and served in the House of Representatives.

Stephen L. Moore
Chairman, Tar Heel Boys State Committee; Media Coordinator
A native of China Grove, now living in Concord. Stephen meritoriously served in the United States Army. While Deployed to Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom, Stephen was wounded by enemy small arms fire, following additional deployments He received a Medical retirement from the Army.
Stephen is presently employed at Shoe Show INC. Corporate Headquarters in Concord, NC. He also serves as the local American Legion Post 51 Commander. In his free time Stephen enjoys playing golf.
Stephen is a 2006 Graduate of Tar Heel Boys State.
